Position Overview

We seek a dedicated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Learning Support team. The SALT will work with students across grade levels (K–12) to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders. The SALT collaborates closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary staff to develop and implement evidence-based interventions that support each student’s communication skills, social-emotional development, and academic success.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, voice, fluency, and pragmatic communication needs.
  • Individualized Intervention: Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans (IEPs) and goals in alignment with the IB framework and school policies.
  • Collaboration & Consultation: Work with classroom teachers, Learning Support staff, occupational therapists, school counselors, and parents to integrate communication strategies into classroom and home environments.
  • Progress Monitoring: Use data-driven approaches to track student progress, adjust interventions, and report findings to stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, reports, and IEP documentation in accordance with school and local regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in schools or pediatric settings, preferably in international schools or multilingual environments.
  • Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and inclusive education practices.
  • Certification/licensure recognized by ASHA (CCC‑SLP) or equivalent international credential is required.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills and sensitivity to diverse linguistic backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Korean is an asset but not required.
  • Excellent collaboration, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered, evidence-based practice.
