RECEPTION CLASSROOM TEACHER

We offer an internationally adapted British National Curriculum from Early Years to Year 9, the IGCSE programme in Years 10/11 and the IB Diploma Programme in Years 12/13. JOB SUMMARY:

Our two Reception teachers work together to plan, create and lead outstanding learning opportunities for all students in their care in line with an enhanced version of the EYFS Curriculum and the Engaging Learning Framework. Each Reception Teacher has full responsibility for the academic progress and pastoral care of one class of Reception children.

Three Teaching Assistants support the two Reception Classes, led and managed by the Head of EYFS, fully supported by the other Reception Teacher. Reception staff work with Nursery and Year 1 staff to develop the opportunities offered in the DUCKS Gardens for all learners’ use. Reception Classes typically have 18-20 students each from around the world.

An internal leadership role, for example the Primary School Global Citizenship Lead, may be available for the right candidate.
