Founded in 1882, Gyeseong Catholic Elementary School is Korea’s foremost leader of primary education. We are a prestigious private catholic elementary school and strive to give a well rounded education in both catholic spirituality and in academic excellence.
We are looking for dynamic, well-rounded, and skilled professional individual to teach English to our talented students from March 1st, 2024 to February 28th, 2025 (for one year). Hired instructor will need to enter training and orientations for a couple of days.
BASIC DESCRIPTION
The English instructor teaches courses and assists in developing and implementing the instructional component for our English Program, works collaboratively with program academic supervisor and other faculty to ensure Gyeseong Elementary English program goals are met, and attends regularly scheduled faculty meetings.
Other teaching duties include grading and evaluation of students’ tests and works-homework & diary etc., making yearly and weekly lesson plans, and working for other related school activities such as school summer/winter camp and events.

– Monthly pay: 2.4~2.7 million KRW per month depending on the experience

REQUIREMENTS
– An undergraduate degree or above from an accredited 4-year institution in a country where the official language is English
– Currently live in Korea
– TEYL(Teaching English to Young Learners), or TESL(Teaching English as Second Language),or TESOL(Teaching English to Speaker of Other Language), or TEFL(Teaching English as Foreign Language) or CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate preferred.
– Teaching license, English-related (i.e. linguistics, education, literature, etc.) major, a teaching experience, and/or Master’s Degree are plus.
– Born and raised in English speaking country, fluent (non-accented) verbal and written skills.
– Sealed transcripts, original diploma, and valid passport
– Passionate and professional about teaching children
– Catholics preferred
– Open-minded with an ability to adapt to another culture
– Friendly, well-rounded and a team player
