Daejeon Sahmyook Elementary School is a private elementary school located in Daejeon, South Korea. It takes about one hour to travel from Daejeon Station to Seoul Station by KTX. About 600 students are studying, and around 40 staff members are working at the school.
With a population of approximately 1.5 million, Daejeon is a city that is neither too big nor too small, offering a comfortable living environment compared to the Seoul-Gyeonggi region.
The city has advanced science research facilities such as KAIST and the Daedeok Science Town. It also offers plenty of recreational activities, including the Hanwha Eagles baseball team, Daejeon Citizen Soccer Team, Sung-Sim-Dang bakery, and Daejeon O-World theme park.

◈E-2, F-2, F-4, or F-6 VISA Only. *Applicants with F-2, F-4, or F-6 visas will be considered qualified for this position if their country of origin is one of the countries eligible for an E-2 visa.
1. March 1st, 2025- February 28th, 2026
: Monday-Friday 8 am – 4 pm (8 hours per day, including breaks and prep time)
2. Weekly Teaching Hours: 24 (40-minute class)
3. Salary: 2.8–3 million KRW (including a housing stipend of 0.4 million KRW)
4. All mandatory national insurances designated by the government of the Republic of Korea (50:50)* Subject to variation depending on the applicant’s country of origin.
5. Vacation: 5 Weeks guaranteed (Paid, 2 weeks in Summer + 3 weeks in Winter) *The schedule may change according to the school operation plan, but a total of 5 weeks is guaranteed. *There may be an additional 1 week of Spring Break.
6. Sick day: Paid Sick day 10 days + Unpaid Sick day 10 days
7. Special leave as stipulated in the Labor Standards Act of the Republic of Korea
The applicants must
– be a NATIVE speaker of ENGLISH eligible for an E-2 Visa
– hold at least an undergraduate degree
– be able to do a 5-10 minute demo lesson with students during the Zoom interview process.
* After being hired, you will be instructed to submit a certificate that verifies your experience or education major.
– ESL teaching certificates (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA etc. / at least a 120 hours course)
– Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree in Education, or teaching certification
