Full-Time EFL Faculty Positions at KAIST

The English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Program at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is currently seeking applicants for two full-time faculty positions. KAIST is Korea’s leading institution for science and engineering, with a campus located in Daedeok Innopolis, about 150 km south of Seoul.

Job Responsibilities

• Teach 12 hours per week during the spring and fall semesters.
• Teach or tutor for an additional 2 hours per week.
• Hold 4 weekly office hours.
• Develop curriculum and serve on various committees.
• Perform other university-related responsibilities.
• Note: If teaching obligations are not met during a regular semester, you will be required to teach during the summer or winter without additional pay.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • A Master’s degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics.
  • Native-like fluency in English.
  • A minimum of two years of college-level teaching experience.
• Preferred:
  • Experience teaching EFL to science and engineering students.
  • Experience developing and teaching AI-integrated EFL courses.
  • Experience teaching scientific writing.
  • Experience developing and teaching CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) courses.
