Full-Time EFL Faculty Positions at KAIST
The English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Program at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is currently seeking applicants for two full-time faculty positions. KAIST is Korea’s leading institution for science and engineering, with a campus located in Daedeok Innopolis, about 150 km south of Seoul.
Job Responsibilities
- Teach 12 hours per week during the spring and fall semesters.
- Teach or tutor for an additional 2 hours per week.
- Hold 4 weekly office hours.
- Develop curriculum and serve on various committees.
- Perform other university-related responsibilities.
- Note: If teaching obligations are not met during a regular semester, you will be required to teach during the summer or winter without additional pay.
Qualifications
- Required:
- A Master’s degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics.
- Native-like fluency in English.
- A minimum of two years of college-level teaching experience.
- Preferred:
- Experience teaching EFL to science and engineering students.
- Experience developing and teaching AI-integrated EFL courses.
- Experience teaching scientific writing.
- Experience developing and teaching CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) courses.
