Hillside Collegiate Sokcho (formerly SIS Canada) is an American-based educational institution that prepares students for a seamless transition to secondary schools in the United States or Canada. Current Opportunities

We are actively seeking one Certified Elementary Teacher to start for the 2025-26 school year.

  • Position: Certified Elementary Teacher (any jurisdiction), Grades 1-6, responsible for English, Social Studies, Sciences, and other elementary subjects.
  • Location: Sokcho, a coastal gem in the northeast of Gangwon-do, South Korea, situated at the base of Seorak Mountain. It’s the perfect location for those who love the outdoors.
  • Start Date: March 2025
  • Salary: Starting at ₩2.8 million per month, with increases based on teaching experience (up to ₩3.2 million per month).
  • Benefits: Housing provided, moving allowance, severance bonus, pension, health insurance, employment insurance, industrial injuries insurance.
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am to 4 pm (includes lesson preparation time).

Qualifications

  • Professional Teacher Certification required.
  • Bachelor of Education degree.
  • Eligibility for an E-2 or F visa in Korea (those with an F Visa—either of Korean descent or with Korean spouses—are preferred).
  • Passport holder from one of the 7 English-speaking countries.
