Elementary English Teacher

Cheongju Daeseong Elementary School, located in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do, is seeking a passionate and skilled full-time English teacher to join their team of 18 English teachers. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference and work in a collaborative environment.

Position & School Details

• Location: Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do
• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:40 AM – 4:40 PM
• Classes: 21-23 classes per week
• Vacation: Approximately 7 weeks per year (more if not required to teach camps)
• Benefits: National health insurance and pension (NPS)

Compensation

• Starting Salary (New Teachers): Approximately 3 million KRW per month
  • Base Pay: 2.3 million KRW/month
  • Housing Stipend: 500,000 KRW/month (increases to 600,000 KRW/month in the second year)
  • After-school Program Pay: Approximately 200,000 KRW/month (within contract hours)
• Salary Increases: Annual salary increases

Application & Qualifications

• Qualifications:
  • Native English speaker from one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, or the USA.
  • Currently in Korea with a valid E-2 or F visa.
  • Previous relevant experience is required.
  • Dependable, outgoing, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Interview Process
