University Position as a Part-time Instructor

3 weeks English Intensive Camp for Elementary school students

Office of International Affairs(OIA) at Changwon National University is looking for a part-time instructor for elementary school students.

□ Specification

1. Position: Part-time instructor at Office of International Affairs (OIA)

2. Numbers to be invited: 2

3. Contract Period: 3 weeks from Jan 2 (Thu), 2025 to Jan 22 (Wed), 2025

*There will be a camp orientation for teachers before the beginning of the camp. (Scheduled for December 18 Wed, 2024)

□ Job Description

– To prepare supplements for class and provide ESL lessons of core class and language activities to Korean elementary school students

– To arrange and prepare special events for camp

– To check students’ attendance in every class and to evaluate students

– To submit a class plan before the beginning of the camp and a teaching report after the camp

– To attend meetings when required

– To submit personalized feedback report for students

– To have lunch with students (lunch will be provided)

□ Qualification

1. A native speaker with a bachelor university degree in the *English-speaking countries

*Countries concerned: 1)United Kingdom 2)United States 3) Canada 4)New Zealand 5)Ireland 6)Australia 7)South Africa

2. Valid visa: F2, F4&F5

3. ESL teaching experience & Teaching related certificate like a TESOL or TELF etc. preferred

4. Pedagogy major preferred

5. Camp teacher experiences preferred

□ Working Condition

1. Teaching Hours

– Working Days: Monday through Friday

– Working Hours: Teaching hours are 7.5 hours/day, from 9 am to 4:30 pm every day. Staff meetings will be required when necessary.

2. Benefits

– Wage: KRW 4,560,000 before tax (the sum of all payments)

3. Other matters

– No airfare from abroad

– No housing support

1. An apostilled copy of the University Degree

2. An apostilled Nationwide Criminal Record Certificate (from FBI for America)

– Those selected for the interview will be notified through email/phone on November 25 (Mon) 2024

– In-person interview(including a 10-minute demonstration lesson) is scheduled to be held on November 27 2024 at the Office of International Affairs Building, Changwon National University in Changwon.
