Position Overview

Korea Foreign School (KFS) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher Aid to join our PYP team. The Teacher Aid plays a vital role in fostering a safe, engaging, and student-centered environment while assisting teachers in delivering high-quality, inquiry-based learning experiences. This role requires a flexible, caring, and collaborative individual who is passionate about supporting international-minded education.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Support:

• Assist the homeroom teacher in implementing daily lessons and activities.
• Provide small-group or one-on-one support to students to reinforce learning.
• Help manage classroom materials, resources, and displays.

Student Support:

• Encourage positive behavior, collaboration, and independence among students.
• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of children in alignment with the PYP learner profile.

Instructional Support:

• Assist in preparing teaching materials, manipulatives, and digital resources.
• Support inquiry-based learning experiences and contribute ideas for engaging classroom activities.
• Supervise learning centers, projects, or activities as directed by the teacher.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in education; relevant experience may be considered.
• Previous experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting (international school preferred).
• Familiarity with the IB Primary Years Programme or inquiry-based learning preferred.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Caring, patient, and enthusiastic personality with a commitment to supporting young learners.
