JOB SUMMARY:

The Communications & External Relations Executive (Storytelling) is responsible for storytelling and creating clear, compelling, and on-brand content across a range of formats to support the communications goals of Dulwich College Seoul. This includes writing stories for publications, presentations, website stories, emails, brochures, social media, and event materials. The role plays a critical part in shaping the voice of the College and ensuring consistency and clarity in internal and external messaging, with the goal of engaging our diverse stakeholders and improving retention. The role supports the External Relations work and the management of the key communication platforms including but not limited to MyDulwich.

REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidate must have:

• A passion for storytelling

• At least 2-3 years of experience in writing professionally with published/posted bylined stories, ideally as part of a news organization covering stories

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field

• Native proficiency in written and spoken English

• Strong proofreading and copy-editing skills with high attention to detail

• Proven ability to adjust writing style across different formats and channels (print, web, speech, social media)

• High level of professionalism and sensitivity to tone, inclusivity, and multicultural audiences

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and respond quickly to requests

• Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background

• A positive, collaborative, and solution-focused attitude

Desirable:

• Bilingual: proficient in Korean writing and speaking

• Experience in education or corporate communications

• Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft 365, Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and content management systems or a quick study to new tools; Experience in basic resizing, formatting or layout tools for publications and social channels

• Experience working with bilingual content teams or translation that’s not literal but takes cultural context into consideration
