Korea International School, Jeju Campus is located on an island renowned for its outstanding natural beauty, high standard of living, and unique local culture.

At KISJ we believe in positive change through dialogue and design. Every day, we use mind-opening tools and teaching to serve emerging bilingual students, because unprecedented times call for unprecedented learners. As South Korea’s first public-private boarding school, we offer students in Northeast Asia expanded access to a challenging American curriculum (using AERO-based standards, English Language Learning, Understanding by Design® and Advanced Placement® courses) with an emphasis on character education. We are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the South Korean Ministry of Education.

With well-resourced classrooms and facilities, strong support for professional development, supportive teams, and an innovative boarding program, we ensure that our students grow academically while developing complex social-emotional and intercultural skills. Our learning community includes 153 academic faculty and over 20 dedicated boarding staff serving over one thousand students in grades Pre K to 12.

Minimum Qualifications Current Teaching Licence or Certification.

YBM recognizes professional qualifications from the United States; United Kingdom; Canada; Australia, and New Zealand only.

Middle School and High School candidates will need to be certified in the specified subject area of the vacancy.

A bachelor degree from a university located in the United States; United Kingdom; Canada; Australia, or New Zealand. Two years of full-time teaching experience at an accredited English speaking international school, or a public, private or charter school in the United States; United Kingdom; Canada; Australia or New Zealand.

Preferred Qualifications
(in addition to the minimum qualifications)
Teaching Licence or Certification is conferred from a traditional brick-and-mortar university.

Candidates possess additional endorsements in ELL, Special Needs, Technology Integration, etc.

Middle School and High School candidates possess degrees in the specified subject area of the vacancy.

Candidates will possess a higher educational qualification, such as a Master’s degree or Doctorate, in their subject area, teaching and learning or educational leadership.

At least five (5) years of full-time teaching experience.

Candidates will have experience with sports and/or extracurricular activities coaching; student clubs; advisory groups; accreditation processes; and/or leadership of a grade level and/or department team.
