Young Hoon was founded in 1965 and is one of the most well-known private Christian elementary schools in Korea. The school population is approximately 670, catering for grade 1 to 6 students. We hire 24 certified teachers from the USA, Canada, South Africa, NZ, Australia and the United Kingdom. We are an authorized Cambridge International Primary School running an inquiry-based program delivering outcomes from the Cambridge PECF and ESOL curriculum. We embrace SEL (Social Emotional Learning), S.T.E.M., G.R.A.S.P.S., one to one technology integration through Chromebooks, tablets, ITSE, and Google Workspace. We follow the Workshop Model and utilise Learning Center Rotations for instruction. We emphasize the development of 21st Century skill sets and learner traits by providing authentic Western learning experiences.
We have a very high success rate of teachers that spent two to six years with us being accepted into teaching positions at excellent international schools all over the world. These include IB schools from Korea, Thailand, Italy, Vietnam, Turkey, Brazil, Columbia, Germany, Chile, India, China and more.

Positions: Gr.1 to 6 Elementary
Visa: MUST already be residing in Korea – a current E2/F2/F6 visa holder. IMPORTANT: Do not apply from overseas. We only hire people already residing in South Korea and with the right visa situation.
Start Date: March 1st, 2026. Note. Ideally, your current ARC should expire in March 2026, meaning, your current school/hogwan contract should finish in mid to late February, 2026. This makes it much easier to transfer the visa to our school.
Qualifications: Looking for licensed/certified teachers from the US, Canada, NZ, Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom. Preferred qualification: a Bachelor of Education, Graduate Diploma of Education, Masters of Education. We will also consider candidates in the process of obtaining their teaching certification from institutes like Teach Now/Teacher Ready or teachers with suitable private school experience in South Korea.
Church attendance is preferred for this position, as we seek individuals who align with our faith-based values, though it is not mandatory
