Non-Tenured English Professor at Cheongju University
Cheongju University is seeking a native English-speaking non-tenured professor to teach credit conversation classes. The position is a two-year, renewable contract.
Position Details
- Workload: 12 credit class hours over four working days, plus two office hours per week.
- Overtime: Opportunities to teach overtime credits at ₩25,000 per hour and non-credit classes at ₩30,000–₩40,000 per hour.
- Salary: Annual base salary is ₩36,905,830, paid monthly at ₩3,075,480.
- Benefits:
- A non-shared housing unit is provided, though the professor is responsible for utilities.

Qualifications
- Required:
- You must be a native English speaker and currently live in Korea.
- A master’s degree is required, along with at least two years of full-time university/college teaching or research experience post-graduation.
- Preferred:
- Applicants with an E-1, E-2, or F-visa are preferred.
- English language teaching certificates such as TESOL, TEFL, TESL, CELTA, or TKT are also preferred.

- Scans of documents verifying full-time work experience at a university/college. In Korea, these are known as 재직증명서 (for a current position) and 경력증명서 (for a previous position). Part-time lecturers must specify weekly teaching hours.

If selected for an interview, you must bring the following:
- Two letters of recommendation.
- The original copies of all documents submitted with your initial application.
If you are a successful candidate, you will also be required to provide:
- Apostilled copies of your degrees and National Criminal Background Check.
- Sealed transcripts with grades.
- A recent health report.
- Three passport-sized photos.
