Daejeon Sahmyook Elementary School, a private elementary school in Korea, is seeking a passionate and committed Native English Speaking Teacher to join our team and contribute to the development of young learners.

📌 Position Details
✅ Position Available: 2
– Contract Period:
✏️no.1 August 14, 2025 – February 14, 2027 (18-month contract)
✏️no.2 November 1st, 2025 – February 28th, 2027 (16-month contract).
*Please note that employment terms, including salary, are subject to change effective March 1, 2026, in accordance with the launch of a new English education program. A revised employment contract will be provided, and detailed information will be shared during the second semester of 2025.
– Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Teaching Hours: 24 teaching hours/week (each class is 40 minutes)
– Students: Elementary school students (Grades 1–6)
– Salary: KRW 2.8M – 3.0M/month (includes KRW 400,000 monthly housing allowance)
*Annual pay raises are based on performance evaluations, applicable for up to 4 years.
– Overtime Pay: KRW 20,000 per extra class hour during the semester (not applicable during seasonal camps)
🎁 Benefits
– Paid Vacation: 5 weeks total during school breaks
(Summer: 2 weeks / Winter: 3 weeks; includes weekends and public holidays; subject to school calendar)
+ Spring break: Minimum 1 week, up to 2 weeks depending on the school schedule
– All holidays are fully paid
– Paid Sick Leave: 10 days +Unpaid Sick Leave: 10 days
– Special Leave: Provided in accordance with the Korean Labor Standards Act
– Severance Pay: Paid upon completion of each full year (365 days)
– National Insurance Coverage: 50% of the four major insurances (National Pension, Health Insurance, Employment Insurance, Industrial Accident Insurance) covered by the school

✅ Qualifications
– Must be a native English speaker
– Must be eligible to obtain an E-2 or F-series visa (application must be submitted before or upon entry)
– E-2 visa applicants must hold citizenship from one of the following: USA, UK, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland
– All application and document-related fees must be covered by the applicant
– Must demonstrate:
Passion and commitment to education
Positive and professional attitude
Strong English language skills in reading, writing, and editing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

📍 When applying for an E-2 visa at a Korean embassy or consulate, all of the following documents must have been issued within six(6) months from the date of application.
– Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
– Degree must be notarized and apostilled by a Korean consulate
– Must submit an apostilled criminal background check (FBI/RCMP or equivalent)
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
– Experience working with young children and classroom management in private elementary school in S. Korea
– Holders of one or more of the following will be given preference:
Bachelor’s degree in Education
120+ hour TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification
Valid U.S. state teacher license or Canadian provincial teacher certification
