Francis Parker Collegiate is looking for fun-loving, excellent ESL teachers! We value a holistic and creative approach to English education; we give children as much context as possible to create their stories and use proper vocabulary. This holistic approach is applied in a natural way across our curriculum. Our students boast excellent academic results.

1. Responsibilities Overview

  1. • Teach English to Kindergarten students.
  2. • Teach lessons following Francis Parker’s curriculum and supplement worksheets and activities.
  3. • Track and report students’ performance and give feedback
  4. • Attend to other duties as a teacher.
  5. • Teach phonics, pronunciation, and basic reading and writing skills
  6. • Follow a textbook and syllabus for easy lesson prep
  7. • Add your own activities to help students learn better
  8. • Attend meetings, workshops, and special events required by the institute
  9. • Recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group

 

2. Requirements

  1. • Native English Speaker
  2. • Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  3. • Holds or is eligible for the E-2 visa with USA, CAN, UK, AUS, NZ, IRE, or SA citizenship
  4. • F-visa holders
  5. • Apostilled Diploma and Criminal Background Check
  6. • Must be physically and mentally healthy.

 

3. Working Conditions

  1. • Student Type: Kindergarten only
  2. • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 A.M. – 6:00 P.M.
  3. • Teaching Hours: 9:00 A.M. – 2:30 P.M. homeroom, 1 class in the afternoon, rest of the afternoon time is prep time
  4. • Lunch is not with students

Salary

  • 2.3 Million KRW per month and up (negotiable depending upon experience)

  2. • Severance: Paid upon the completion of employment
  3. • Vacation: 12 days plus National Korean Holidays
  4. • Airfare: One-way reimbursed for candidates outside of Korea

Housing

  • Housing Provided
  • Single housing will be provided by the school.
  • It will be within a 15-minute walk.
