LIS provides an excellent academic program primarily in English, supporting students in pursuing college pathways in Korea and abroad.
About the Role: College Counselor
The school is looking for a passionate College Counselor to guide high school students through university preparation and applications. The ideal candidate should be committed to a biblical lifestyle and thrive in a nurturing Christian environment. Responsibilities include personalized college advising, overseeing college-related programs, and supporting academic planning tailored to each student’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
- – Provide personalized academic and college counseling
- – Organize workshops and college fairs
- – Guide students in identifying suitable schools
- – Assist with essay writing and application timelines
- – Maintain relationships with university representatives
- – Monitor student progress and maintain counseling records
- – Collaborate with faculty to support students’ development
- – Integrate a biblical worldview in guidance processes
Required Qualifications
- – Born-again Christian with spiritual maturity
- – Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
- – Minimum 3 years of college counseling experience
- – Strong knowledge of U.S. university admissions
- – Excellent organizational and communication skills
- – Cultural sensitivity in student guidance
Preferred Qualifications
- – Bilingual in English and Korean
- – Experience with international students
- – Familiarity with application systems
- – School counseling certification (an asset)
